Dear Parents and Families,

Welcome to Broad Street Elementary School, a 1-3 grade level learning community. Our focus here at Broad Street is in making sure every student succeeds socially, emotionally and academically. Our district’s Mission Statement defines what we want for each of our students as they move through their educational journey in the Mechanicsburg Area School District:

Broad Street Elementary School is the start of a child’s educational journey and to assist them in achieving these results we utilize a rigorous curriculum, maintain high expectations, and provide each child with instruction to meet their needs – while still being developmentally appropriate.

I believe the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child” holds true because optimal student success occurs when home and school work collaboratively. I encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s learning and maintain an open line of communication. Talk with your child daily about their day, and if questions or concerns arise, do not hesitate to reach out.  By working together, your child will experience success.
