Welcome to 2nd grade!  I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year and am looking forward to partnering together so we can support your child as they learn and explore this year!

 

I am currently embarking upon my 13th year of teaching 2nd grade at Broad Street.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Messiah University (formerly Messiah College) and my Master's Degree in Literacy Education with a Reading Specialist Certification from Pennsylvania State University.  When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time with my 18 month-old son and husband.  I also enjoy reading, cheering for our favorite baseball teams, playing board games, visiting historical locations, listening to and playing music as well as attending musical theater performances, and cooking different recipes.

 

I am excited to learn more about your child and their interests.  I am looking forward to working with your child so that they can achieve their goals and grow in their understanding.  Let’s have a great year together!
