🎭 THE STAGE IS SET // Across the district, Wildcats are spending part of their summer singing, dancing, acting, and bringing the magic of musical theatre to life at Musical Theatre Camp, hosted by our friends at Mechanicsburg Area Recreation.
After weeks of hard work, teamwork, and rehearsal, these talented performers are ready to take the stage for Elf JR. 🎄 Join us at Mechanicsburg Middle School for a fun-filled show full of holiday cheer, big laughs, and plenty of festive spirit. Admission is FREE.

📚 ¡CUENTOS Y CONEXIONES! (“Stories and Connections”) // MASH Spanish IV Honors students took a walk down the hill to Broad Street Elementary today, where they shared original children’s stories with first graders. 💛
As part of their culminating project, students created culturally-based storybooks inspired by the Spanish-speaking world, covering everything from festivals and famous places to mysteries and traditions. Through expressive storytelling, illustrations, and interactive Spanish words, our high school Wildcats helped bring language and culture to life for their younger audience.
It was a fun and meaningful experience for everyone involved, and a great reminder that learning is even more powerful when it’s shared. 🌎📖

🚌 DRIVEN BY CARE // Today, we’re celebrating Bus/Van Driver Appreciation Day. From the first to last smile of the day, our bus/van drivers do so much more than get students from point A to point B. They create a welcoming start, a safe ride, and a familiar, friendly presence our students can count on.

🛍️ OPERATION WILDCAT YARD SALE STARTS TOMORROW // The 25th Indoor Yard Sale, hosted by our friends at Operation Wildcat, kicks off tomorrow, and it’s bigger than ever. Thousands of items will fill the tables at McBIC – Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church, including books, toys, vintage finds, household items, collectibles, sporting goods, and more.

🍽️ COMMUNITY DINNER // Broad Street Elementary School once again opened its doors for its annual Community Dinner, continuing a tradition that began in 2017. What started as a simple idea has grown into a meaningful evening centered on connection, conversation, and a shared meal. This year’s gathering brought together another incredible crowd of families and community members.
👏 We are grateful to our community partners, including 1st United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church, St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, for their continued generosity and support. BEEP, BEEP // Winter weather means extra cleanup—and this week, that included Broad Street Elementary School Principal Paul Bigham taking a turn on the Riding Auto Scrubber to help clear salt from the floors before students arrived. A great reminder that in MASD, we’re a team—always ready to step in (and up… and behind the wheel 🛞) when help is needed.

Based on several factors—including cold temperatures, the need to navigate snow piles, and the benefits of increased daylight—a delay was the best decision for our students.

❄️💪 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR MAINTENANCE & FACILITIES CREWS // Through heavy snowfall and challenging temperatures, our dedicated maintenance and facilities teams have been hard at work clearing parking lots, roads, and sidewalks to ensure our buildings and campuses are safe and ready for the return of our students and staff. They’ll be back at it again today for another round of winter weather cleanup.
