🎁 PROJECT GIFT BOX // Our friends at Operation Wildcat – Mechanicsburg, PA are once again spreading joy throughout our community by helping ensure a bright holiday season for our Wildcats.

Operation Wildcat is inviting community members to support this year’s Project Gift Box by donating gift cards, which will be shared with families across the district. Currently, more than 200 opportunities to give still remain. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference.

Gift cards may be dropped off at the Mechanicsburg Area School District Office (600 S. Norway St.) no later than Friday, December 5, 2025. The District Office is closed through Monday, December 1, and will reopen from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. To sign up: https://www.timetosignup.com/operationwildcat/sheet/1379347/

Reminder:
There will be an early dismissal for all K–12 students tomorrow, November 25.

**KA dismisses at 10:25 AM
**Grades 1–5 dismiss at 10:45 AM
**MMS & MASH dismiss at 11:30 AM

Lunch will not be served.

If your child has any changes to their default dismissal plan, please email the office (broadstreetoffice@mbgsd.org) and copy your child’s teacher. You may also send a written note in the morning for your child to give to their teacher.

School will be CLOSED Wednesday, November 26 through Monday, December 1..

🧦 HEY RACHEL, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF! // Today we’re celebrating Art Teacher Rachel Connell for truly going above and beyond. When we came to her with a brainstorm about switching up our annual appreciation card, she didn’t miss a beat — she jumped right in, pivoted effortlessly, and, with the help of some young Wildcats, brought the new idea to life.

Thanks to her creativity and quick thinking, we now have beautiful student artwork that perfectly captures a heartfelt message of belonging for our entire Wildcat community. 💜🐾 If you haven't already seen the card, be sure to check out this morning's post.

🚌 IT’S NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK // Every day, our amazing bus drivers safely transport our Wildcats — rain or shine, morning and afternoon, always with care. Thank you for the patience, smiles, and watchful eyes that keep our students safe.

🚨 Safety reminder: When a bus has its stop arm out and red lights flashing, all traffic must stop — in both directions. Through our enforcement program that equips each school bus with stop-arm cameras, law enforcement issued 131 citations in May and September to drivers who illegally passed stopped MASD buses.

Let’s all do our part to keep Wildcats safe. ❤️ Slow down, stay alert, and always stop on red!

🧦 YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF, JOYCE! // At the corner of West Simpson and South Broad, Mechanicsburg Police Department’s Joyce Phillips is more than a superstar crossing guard—she’s a bright spot in every Wildcat’s morning. From her cheerful wave and ear-to-ear grin to her signature puppy treats and candy stash 🍬, Joyce brings safety, care, and connection to everyone who crosses her path.
